Altona Meadows Skate Park and BMX Track
Located right next to the basketball and netball stadium on Queen Street, the Altona Meadows skate park and BMX park are great for kids and beginners.
The area is family friendly with a few different benches around and a shelter for shade as well. There are also drinking taps so no stress if the kids forget their water bottles.
Altona Meadows Skate Park
The skate park is usually packed with kids after school and during the holidays having fun skating around. You will often see teens and also parents having a go too.
There are a few different size hills, and ramps with Roll-ins and drop-ins. There is a euro fun box with rails, hubbas, ledges and quarter pipes. There is also a bowl with quarters and a raised area in the middle. (Never knew this type of vocabulary before my kids starting skating.)
It is great to see the kids out and about in the fresh air, meeting new friends and learning new skills. It is also nice to see skaters of all ages and abilities, taking turns as they share the facilities.
Altona Meadows BMX Park
The Altona Meadows BMX Park is right next to the skate park and has a range of different size jumps for all skill levels. Plenty of room too.
