Arriba! Melbourne Mexican Festival 2023
Immerse yourself in a vibrant Mexican extravaganza in the heart of the city celebrating Mexican Heritage and Culture at the Melbourne Mexican Festival.

Melbourne Mexican Festival
Arriba! Melbourne Mexican Festival is on again this year! The entertainment program includes performances by various artists, live music, dance, and DJ. Authentic Mexican cuisine such as salsa, guacamole, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas will highlight the menu.
There are heaps of food trucks with the most delicious aromas. The churros of course were a big hit last year, not to mention the margarita bar!!

There are some lovely stalls with traditional Mexican crafts including Lele Dolls and beautifully painted skulls.

The highlight for my Frida Kahlo loving daughter was having her photo taken with “Frida”.

My highlight was the wonderful people from MexVic- the Mexican Cultural Association of Victoria letting me add a photo of my sweet Dad to the offrenda (traditional altar decorated with photos of departed loved ones on Day of the Dead).
There will be a Dia de los Muertos costume contest and parade on Sunday so make sure to dress up!

The festival is free and right at the Flagstaff train station stop so don’t let a bit of rain stop you from heading down for a taste of Mexico right here in Melbourne.
