Bettlejuice The Musical, Melbourne
IT’S SHOWTIME! Beetlejuice the Musical is in Melbourne at the Regent Theatre. This show about death (as the first song explains) is a really good time!

For anyone who loves the movie, the story varies a bit off the original source material but the sets, songs and puppets more than make up for any variation away from the cinematic version. It’s great to see Eddie Perfect, who wrote the show for Broadway, take on the title role.
Audience age is suggested for older kids, 14+ for a few raunchy jokes (that went right over my daughter’s head) and some swear words but if your kid is into the spooky stuff and loves sandworms it’s so good!

If shrunken heads on tarts or chili chocolate in the shape of your favourite ghost sounds up your alley, definitely check out the Beetlejuice High Tea before or after the show, right next door at the Westin.
A full high tea all influenced by Beetlejuice the Musical is presented in the lovely front lobby. Served with a Punch for the Possessed cocktail, free-flowing Vittoria coffee blends, loose leaf tea and hot chocolate. All the kids leave with a teddy bear to cuddle too!

The Regent and Westin are an easy 10 minute walk from Flinders Street Station or there is valet parking at the Westin.
