Berwick Springs Reserve & Playground
Tucked away from the congestion of Clyde Road is the vast and scenic Berwick Springs Reserve. The wetlands span right through the middle of the large estate and is beautiful spot for an afternoon walk, a 5km run, or a picnic dinner at the playground.

Berwick Springs Reserve
If you enter from Berwick Springs Promenade along the western end, you can’t miss the great archway covered in lush greenery that opens up to the central lake. Ducks and birds flock to the lake on sunny afternoons and the surrounding benches are a nice spot to have a picnic.
On summer days the water fountain at the centre of the lake is turned on, and provides a great mist of cool water as you walk past.
The wetlands are surround by multiple different pathways – all bike and pram friendly. Whether you are after a quick walk with the dog, a long leisurely stroll, or a 5km run, you can take your pick of tracks to follow.

Every turn you take you’ll find yourself in view of gorgeous still lakes, majestic trees or open grasslands. Berwick Springs Reserve is so large that you are sure to find a quiet spot to unwind and take in the surroundings.
Kids are usually difficult to bribe into a 5km afternoon stroll, but the 3 playgrounds at the park are sure to help burn off some of their energy.
Located at the South, East and West ends of the reserve, these fully fenced playgrounds are nothing spectacular, but will be a hit with the kids – offering multiple slides, swings and climbing equipment.

The East end playground offers a shaded picnic area beside the playground where you can watch the sun set over the lake while enjoying some takeaway dinner – one of our favourite things to do in summer. The South end playground is shaded, and the picnic space is within the fenced area.
This really is a park that’s great for the whole family. Eden Rise shopping centre is on the opposite side of Clyde Road and is a great place to pick up coffees, juices, donuts and a whole array of treats before you head down for a few hours. Whether you are looking for a relaxing picnic or a afternoon bike ride off the busy road – the Berwick Springs Reserve is worth a visit.
