1. City Of Melbourne’s Christmas Square
Make sure to head into the CBD during November and December in the lead up to Christmas. See a magical wonderland filled with festive cheer at the Fed Square Christmas Square in Melbourne.
There is a 16m giant Christmas tree, Santa’s Workshop and lots of sparkling lights. Make sure you visit after sunset when it all lights up. From 9pm until 11pm each evening, on the hour, there is a special Christmas Tree sound and light display which brings the whole square to life with Christmas cheer.
Best of all this is a fun and free Christmas event in Melbourne that the whole family can enjoy.

2. Myer Christmas Windows
One of the most popular free Christmas events in Melbourne for families, you can’t miss the Myer Christmas Windows. Every year the Myer Christmas Windows are a highlight for many families when they light up their Christmas display in a new and exciting theme.
The windows build anticipation each year for Melbourne families who are always excited to see the big reveal in November. Spectators from near and far come to see this spectacular event.
This year’s Myer Christmas Windows Theme is LEGO and feature over 488,000 LEGO bricks, all brought to life by Brickman (Ryan McNaught) and his incredible team.

3. Christmas Projections at Flinders Street
Melbourne’s famous Christmas projections are back with five gorgeous adornments, complete with a countdown to Christmas clock. There are some impressive projections lighting up the city. Make it a night to remember and visit the projections near Flinders Street.

4. Crown Christmas Spectacular
The Crown Christmas spectacular will go ahead this year so make sure you don’t miss it. There are three shows daily held in the Crown Towers Atrium and features a spectacular filled with lighting, music and animatronics displays.
No need to book as it runs all day and is an unmissable free Christmas event everyone should see. There are lots of Christmas festivities around Crown to make a day of it too.

5. Christmas Lights
Everywhere you look it seems sparkles are sliding off roof tops, down the gutters and splattering across front lawns. 6. Christmas at Bunjil Place
There are lots of Christmas events going on at Bunjil Place this festive season. Kicking off with the annual Christmas Market on Saturday 29 November featuring more than 60 stalls and a brand-new Christmas Tree lighting. The celebrations continue with free outdoor Christmas films including Elf and Arthur Christmas. On stage, The Greatest Christmas Show returns alongside Dear Santa and a magical performance of The Nutcracker by the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra. Even the Bunjil Place Library is joining in with Christmas-themed Storytime, Toddler Time, Baby Rhyme Time and free craft sessions for kids.

7. Carols By Candlelight, Melbourne
The annual Christmas event in Melbourne, Carols by Candlelight is a concert and fundraiser for Vision Australia’s children’s services. Various performers grace the stage each year singing and performing Christmas carols in a spectacular event that can’t be missed. If you can’t get to the Christmas Eve Event, make sure to watch it live on TV as it really is special.

8. Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland
