If you haven’t seen already, Melbourne is lit up with Christmas lights around the city. In fact, there are so many fun and free Christmas events on in Melbourne to keep you and your family busy in the lead up to Christmas.
Fed Square has lit their Christmas tree, and there are plenty of light projections around the city to get you in the festive mood. You can head to one of many fun events such as the Christmas Under the Big Top or Festival of Lights.

A new year, a new display! The owners tell us they adore seeing the happiness of the community who visit their lights.
Here at Kristina Court you’ll always be sure to find a few surprises. Walk down the drive under the inflatable arches, gaze up at the three giant LED trees and say hello to the top hat wearing Snowman guarding a real sleigh – perfect for some serious Christmas selfies!.
Hansford Close, Kilsyth
A sea of colour awaits at this creative display in Kilsyth! With over two decades of experience, these owners are keener than ever to spread the Christmas Lights cheer in 2022.
This year is a little bigger and brighter with fancy Christmas statues, moving features and even projections!
Molesworth Street, Coburg
This triple-story Coburg delight is impressive enough when viewed from the footpath – but the real treasure is walking down the drive and gazing into the ‘Cave’, where you’ll find a complete nativity scene!
Running nightly till midnight and all the way through to 7th Jan.
Shaftsbury Street, Coburg
Just around the corner, only a couple of streets away, you’ll find a second Coburg gem – Shaftsbury Street Lights Spectacular!
Put on every year for longer than we can remember, this owner is incredibly passionate about her Christmas display where she is always adding something new.
For 2022 this display is sporting an interactive display for children of all ages, with amazing Christmas props, decorations, and moving features.
Dunnings Road, Point Cook
A favourite in Point Cook and the West, prepare to be dazzled at this sensational walk-in display that feels more like a Christmas wonderland!
Stroll down the drive and past many inflatables, moving props and snowmen to admire the hand decorated Christmas windows on the front façade. Lovely for all ages to enjoy.
Carla Views, Sunbury
The owners say the best thing about their display is the atmosphere it creates amongst those who visit! Enjoy a neatly decked out (or should we say, lit up) front yard with LED arches and trees.
Sparkling Christmas characters can be found playing on the grass whilst lights line the roof and sides of the property. Vibrant and colourful with so many things to catch your eye!
Pushkin Court, Doncaster East
A popular location for many out East and having taken a small hiatus, these guys are pleasantly back on for 2022!
A large double story corner block property comes to life, as dozens of quirky and traditional Christmas characters line the front fence and windows. There’s music played, lasers, projections, loads of lights and even a Nativity scene.
Ornata Road, Mount Dandenong
The local secret for many years is out! A glowing display hidden away in the forest, Benhaylem Hollow is sure to surprise and delight.

A truly MEGA light display with tens of thousands of very bright and colourful lights strung all around the property.
You’ll need to step back across the road to take all of this in. Bring your sunnies as there is so much see you’ll sure to be here all night! Running up until Christmas eve.
Cooper Street, Sunshine
The Walsh’s Christmas Wonderland springs to life with festive magic, with more displays, lights and decorations than you could imagine!
The owners have been lighting up for 25 years and tell us they create their display to be enjoyed by all ages. Release your inner child and make sure to visit this local gem.
Old Melbourne Road, Sunshine
The guys at Oxley College have produced another spectacular Christmas Lights show for you and your family to appreciate.
Running since 2006, this year you’ll witness thousands of lights professionally timed to music. Bring a fold out chair and watch the colours rock to your favourite tunes – you might even have a little dance yourself!
Grange Road, Sandringham
Another awesome computerised light show beckons in Sandringham. Always a hit – and with more than 75,000 LED’s – you’ll find it hard to resist a footpath boogie to this year’s popular tunes!
Fairly new to the Christmas Lights scene, this display just keeps getting bigger and better each year! Passionately supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Aloma Avenue, Wyndham Vale
Last but certainly not least is this really fun and creative display in Wyndham Vale! The main attraction is the massive 5 foot Thomas the Tank engine replica and Santa in a Sleigh for some unforgettable photo ops!
