Conrad Resort Nusa Dua Review
The Conrad Resort Bali, is on the Nusa Dua coast a 30-minute drive from Denpasar International Airport. There are plenty of flights from major cities in Australia and makes a great getaway from Melbourne.
We were greeted at the airport by a Conrad vehicle to pick up the family, a welcome relief after a flight with children.
The resort was a quiet family resort without the party crowd and a great place to wind down and relax. It is massive and adorned with beautiful palm trees and gardens.
It has five very large, conjoined lagoon pools which allow you to swim up to your room if within a pool room or swim to the imitation pool beach complete with sand for splashing, sandcastle building children.
Staff reached out to us weeks before arrival to allow us to plan for our holiday which was a great experience where we booked numerous activities, both free and funded in advance.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a personal check-in, and whilst our room wasn’t ready, we were compensated with a high tea from the resort’s main balcony.
Conrad Resort Accommodation
We stayed in a suite which was spectacular, spacious, modern, and with most required amenities.
We were lucky to have a private splash pool/spa on our balcony and found ourselves very comfortable in the lounge, bedroom, bathrooms and kitchen.
The kitchenette did not have all expected items however the hotel supplied them upon request.
We received a welcome cake for a little celebration which was a nice personal touch.

There are many activities to fill your days at the Conrad, some with an additional charge. These included:

Facilities at the Conrad by Hilton Nusa Dua
The resort offers an extensive range of amenities; we enjoyed the pools extensively, the gym, room service, pool bar, kids club, babysitting, transport, custom menu private dining, and restaurant for breakfast, cabana’s and found service and experience of each to be great.
Pools
There are ample pool lounges surrounding the pool for relaxation and some very comfortable cabana’s between the pool and the beach which also include powerpoints.
Staff are friendly and available to provide, towels, water and food at any time. The pools are open 24 hours a day, however, did not create noise at night or had many/if any swimmers at this time. Two pools have a manmade sand beach which is great for kids to play in the sand or to play in the shallow waters.
Gym
The gym is 24 hours and contains several machines, standard weights, towels and some cardio machines, sufficient for a week of good workouts.
Spa
Massages are available poolside for a small fee within the resort or on the beach outside of the resort on a resort lounge at a lower cost.
The Jiwa Spa has several treatment and relaxation zones for pampering. Facilities include nine treatment rooms, two spa villas, steam room, whirlpools, hydro plunge, manicure and pedicure station.
Some rooms come with their own outdoor terrace and personal spa/pool.
Restaurants
The resort has several restaurants including a buffet breakfast bar, pool bar with comprehensive menu, room service, evening dinning as well as offerings of a romantic personalised dinner or a beach barbeque the latter two are available by bookings only.
We booked a personalised dinner and specified a custom menu; the chef did an amazing job of creating the food and atmosphere experience we wanted.
Kids Club
The kids club is open from 10am to 5pm to free time from children for sightseeing. The kids club offers daily complimentary activities as well as some actives such as T Shirt or kite making for an additional charge.
The kid’s club is included in the hotel room fee and is supplemented by a babysitting service outside of kid’s club hours which at the time of writing was $5 per hour per child.
Photography
Conrad also provide a free 30 minute photography session around the resort to capture your holiday memories which includes 1 free print. Other paid packages are offered to purchase all photos taken.
Outside the Resort
Water sports are conducted at Nusa Dua beach outside of the resort which offers everything from jet skis, to parasailing to speed boating. This does cause a slight smell of petrol.
Hilton Conrad is beside other beachfront resort connected by a 5-6km walking/cycling beachfront track allowing you to dine or potentially swim in other resorts.
The resort is about a 20-minute drive to Kuta Beach and Waterbomb Park which was a favourite with the kids to spend the day at. Hiring a driver for the day cost around $50 AU and they were very reliable.
