DinoFest Roars Back into Melbourne for the School Holidays
Get ready for a prehistoric adventure like no other! DinoFest has returned Melbourne just in time for the school holidays, and it is bigger and better than ever at Werribee Park Mansion. This is a must-do for dino-loving families.

DinoFest Melbourne
DinoFest Melbourne is an immersive, outdoor event designed especially for families with younger children. With over 30 dinosaur species to discover, including a life-size Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, and more, there’s something to amaze everyone. You’ll even spot a towering Brachiosaurus and the mighty T.Rex on the new Dino Trail!
One of the highlights is the 45-minute Dinosaur Encounter, where you’ll meet dinosaurs up close, interact with them, and maybe even pat a baby dino or two. These little explorers absolutely loved this!

DinoFest is designed to be both entertaining and educational, with plenty of fun facts and interactive learning woven into the experience.
In addition to the Dino Trail and live encounters, there’s a whole range of hands-on activities for kids:
- Dino Dig – Uncover fossils like a real paleontologist
- Arts and Crafts – Get creative with dinosaur-themed art
- Feel a Fossil – Touch and learn about real dinosaur bones
The Refectory Parlour will be serving a range of dinosaur themed treats including dino lunch boxes, dino cupcakes, dino ice-cream cones topped with popping lava, and more. Attendees can contact the café to pre-order food or purchase on the day between 11am-4pm.

There is plenty of space for dinosaurs to roam and families to explore. It’s a great place to enjoy a picnic or play before or after your session, and best of all, there’s free parking close by.
Tickets are expected to sell out fast, so it’s best to book early. Sessions run three times daily: 10.30am, 1.00pm, and 3.00pm with numbers capped to ensure the best experience for all.
Whether your kids are dino-obsessed or just curious, this event is sure to be a hit. Even if you’re not a dinosaur buff yourself, the impressive displays and engaging setup make it a truly memorable family outing!
