Dinosaur World, Sommerville
If you have a little one who loves dinosaurs, then a trip to Dinosaur World is a must. Step back in time millions of years and get up close to a Triceratops, T-Rex and more of your favourite dinosaurs. Dig and discover dinosaur bones that you can keep and take home.

Dinosaur World, Sommerville
Set just behind the Christmas Tree Farm in Sommerville, Melbourne’s South East, is a museum of Dinosaurs.
It’s like walking right into Jurassic Park… Well, not really, but to a child it may feel that way.

The adventure at Dinosaur World starts when T-Rex greets you at the door as you walk though the entrance.

As you walk through the park along the winding paths, you will find various other dinosaurs, many that move and roar too.

Once you have completed the walking track you will come to a playground and BBQ picnic area. There is a walking dinosaur who comes out to meet everyone here at various times throughout the day.
Nearby is an undercover area with dinosaur themed activities.
The kids will love the sand pit where you can dig and discover dinosaur bones. The dig and discover is at an extra cost but well worth it for the look on your little one’s face when they find their own dinosaur bones and get to carve them out.

You can spend a few hours, or you can spend the day and have lunch too. You are allowed to bring your own food and have a picnic, otherwise there is a food van selling hot and cold drinks. You can also find snacks such as hot chips, potato cakes, a sausage sizzle and jam doughnuts.
The venue is great for birthday parties too with a large space.
