One of the most popular family traditions in the lead up to Easter is to watch some Easter themed movies to get into the Easter spirit ready to go on a special Easter egg hunt.
Here we have rounded up 15 of the best Easter movies for kids and families for a fun filled Easter movie night.
1. Hop (2011)
To start our list of the best Easter movies for kids, number 1 on the list is Hop. The movie is centred around the Easter bunny’s teenage son, E.B, who isn’t ready to follow in his father’s footsteps. His dream is to become a famous musician.
Fred is an out of work slacker who can’t seem to find his calling in life. When their lives collide, crazy adventures ensue! This is an easy to watch, feel good family movie and my kids got some good laughs out of the fact that e.b poops jelly beans!
2. Rise of the Guardians (2012)
In this animated kids Easter movie for kids, the Easter bunny teams up with other holiday character favourites like the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. These are no ordinary holiday characters though, they are actually immortal heroes with incredible abilities.
In this action packed kids Easter movie, the heroes have to work together and use their abilities to save the children of Earth from the evil spirit Pitch Black and his nightmares.
3. The Dog Who Saved Easter (2014)
This family friendly Easter film is part of the series that follows the loveable Labrador Zeus and his amusing antics.
He’s already saved Christmas and Halloween but this film centres around him saving easter when a couple of local bumbling criminals try to sabotage his doggy daycare.
It’s sure to be a hit with any little ones who have a love of adorable pooches.
4. Rabbit School: Guardians of the Golden Egg (2017)
Rabbit School is about Max, who is a young city rabbit who manages to get himself trapped in an old school Easter bunny academy, surrounded by a family of scheming foxes that want to take over Easter.
He has to team up with a rabbit girl named Emmi and get training from Madame Hermione in the secret skills of Easter bunnies to save the holiday.
5. The Prince of Egypt (1998)
The Prince of Egypt is a Dreamworks animated Easter movie for kids that tells the story of Moses fulfilling his destiny to lead the Jews out of Egypt.
You won’t find any animated bunnies or talking dogs in this movie but it’s filled with some great voice actors and even won an Oscar for the song “When You Believe”
6. Baby Looney Tunes’: Eggs-Traordinary Adventure (2003)
Little kids are sure to love the super adorable baby Looney Tunes characters. In this Easter themed adventure, the babies can’t wait for Easter when Granny teaches them about the Easter Bunny.
Daffy doesn’t believe though and tries to convince them the Easter Bunny isn’t real, so they all set off into the woods to prove him wrong.
7. Yogi the Easter Bear (1994)

Follow the people of Crisper County as they attempt to save the old theatre with a performance of “Up With Bunnies”.

This popular kids book has been made into an equally adorable TV show and the Easter special doesn’t disappoint.

Judy Hopps, the rookie rabbit cop, and Nick Wilde, a con artist fox, become an unlikely team who are the only ones that can foil a villainous part to tear the city of Zootopia apart.
15. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005)
The villager’s giant vegetable competition is in peril, thanks to an unknown vegetable craving beast. It might not be exactly an Easter movie but there are certainly rabbits involved and is it really even a holiday without a Wallace and Gromit classic?!
