Just outside of Ballarat, in Miner’s Rest, you will find a super knowledgeable falconer, Graeme, who will introduce you to so many beautiful birds.

Get up close and personal with a barn owl. Time the fastest animal in the world, the peregrine falcon, as she flies overhead.

Don a falconer’s glove and have a majestic wedge tail eagle land on your arm. It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Graeme is so kind, patient and full to the brim of knowledge about these special birds. He made the experience truly one of the best days of my son’s life.

The Full Flight centre is above all a conservation centre who believe that education is fundamental in understanding the importance of native animal protection. They have a successful endangered breeding program as well as a specialised rehabilitation unit where they can care for injured or orphaned raptors.

The Full Flight Centre can ONLY be visited by prior appointment. They offer different packages for visitors but these must be booked well in advance and are weather dependent. If the weather makes it unsafe for the birds to fly then you can rebook for another date within the year.

This experience was perfect for my 12 year old son. My 7 year old daughter was ok with the smaller birds but was too scared of the bigger birds to be an active participant however she loved watching.
