Code Camp Holiday Program

Let Code Camp inspire your children to get creative with technology these school holidays in Melbourne, learn some valuable new skills, have fun and make new friends.
Choose from beginner to advanced coding camps, stop-motion animation, Djing, video production, drone piloting and so much more! Roblox Legends, a new Roblox game design camp, was so popular over the summer, Code Camp are bringing it back for the April holidays! Plus Jurassic World and Minions are back at Code Camp. Code your own Jurassic World or Minions game (for kids 7-12 years) or create an animated stop-motion movie starring your favourite dinosaurs or Minions characters (for kids 5-7 years).

Sovereign Hill Winter Wonderlights

One of the biggest school holiday activities in Melbourne every Winter is the Sovereign Hill Winter Wonderlights. If you have ever wanted to experience a white Christmas then make sure you don’t miss magical family. Christmas is coming this July to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat and it will be one to remember.

Lightscape

Returning for the 2023 winter school holidays in Melbourne is the popular event at the Botanical Gardens Lightscape. Walk around and experience the 2km trail around the lake of over 20,000 moving LEDs light filled singing trees and a flickering fire garden. Rug up, grab a bite to eat and celebrate the beauty of nature after dark.

One of the best school holiday activities in Melbourne is heading to one of the various museums for the day!
Melbourne Museum has an awesome expo Bricktionary at the moment which is well worth a visit!
For those who love science, make sure to check out Scienceworks and the planetarium. Artvo is great to introduce your kids to art with a 3D interactive gallery. Pollywoodside in the city centre is perfect for a family day out aboard a tall ship.

Get kids up to nature and visit and experience what real farm life is about. Melbourne has some fantastic farm experiences all over Melbourne including Myuna Farm in Melbourne’s south east, Chesterfield Farm in the east, Bundoora Farm in the north and Collingwood Children’s Farm near the CBD.

Luna Park and has been an iconic city attraction for more than a hundred years and is only 10 minutes from the city. Fun and easy day out if you don’t want to travel too far.
Funfields in the northern suburbs will provide a fantastic day out for the whole family jampacked with rides and water slides.
Gumbuya World in Melbourne’s outer east is a water park, wildlife park and theme park all in one. There is lots of fun all year round and they usually have some fun school holiday activities going on too.
