The Winter Village has returned to Melbourne at Federation Square and has jam packed fun for the whole family. Discover this magical Winter wonderland, hire an igloo tent for dining or check out the food trucks. Try out the ice skating rink, or simply walk take a walk around to enjoy the views of the city.

Sovereign Hill Winter Wonderlights
One of the biggest school holiday activities in Melbourne every Winter is the Sovereign Hill Winter Wonderlights. If you have ever wanted to experience a white Christmas then make sure you don’t miss magical family. With the Winter Wonderlights show being cancelled last year, 2021 is set to be better than ever. Christmas is coming this July to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat and it will be one to remember.

Born or Built? Our Robotic Future – Scienceworks
Born or Built? examines the similarities and differences between humans and machines.
Through a range of hands-on experiences, this new exhibition at Scienceworks offers audiences of all ages the opportunity to discover modern technologies and our developing relationship with them, from chatting with a robot, testing a robot’s ability to understand our emotional state and encountering a range of robotic faces to see which one makes you feel the most uncomfortable.

Jurassic World By Brickman
Jurassic World like you have never seen it before. Over 50 large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and activities made from over 6 million LEGO bricks will you in awe as you embark on a thrilling journey through stories and characters from Jurassic World.
The hands-on exhibition has a range of activities, from island building, LEGO paleontology and discovery through mystery mosaics, hybrid dinosaur creation, learning to track a dinosaur by creating species footprints, and even building escape vehicles to get away from a T.rex.

Ice Skating is the perfect Winter school holiday activity in Melbourne! Get your coats and gloves on and hit the ice. O’brien Ice House at the Docklands is a fun indoor skating rink. Ice HQ in Reservoir is another great spot for those in Melbourne’s North. The Winter Village at Federation Square has an outdoor rink open during the holidays too. Not a fan of the ice?
