The Giant Miniature Art Exhibition, Como House
If you love art, history or tiny things then the Giant Miniature Art Exhibition at Como House in Melbourne is for you. See 750 miniature masterpieces created by over 200 artists from around the world.

The Giant Miniature Art Exhibition
The biannual event has attracted over 200 artists from 20 countries including the USA, UK, Israel, Colombia, Ecuador, Poland, Finland, Moldova, Spain, Mexico, Lithuania, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Philippines, Czech Republic, Bangladesh and Italy.
Each piece is only 25x38mm but the detail on the work is phenomenal. Luckily, there are hand held magnifying glasses available to look through while touring the exhibition.

The Giant Art Exhibition is a fund raiser for the National Trust of Victoria so it’s possible you can take your favourite teeny masterpiece home. There’s also a commemorative book available for purchase.

The exhibition is held at Como House which has beautiful gardens with over 900 types of plants to explore and is a wonderful spot of history on its own.

The house was built in 1847 and tours are available for a glimpse of the opulent lifestyle of the past owners. There is also a wonderful second hand bookshop.

If you are hungry, I highly recommend The Stables of Como. Absolutely delicious breakfast and the staff was lovely.
There is indoor and outdoor seating with full meals or a beautiful array of pastries to have with coffee. They are famous for their scones.

This is a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon, seeing art, having a delicious meal and taking in a bit of Melbourne’s history.
