Halloween in Melbourne
There are some fun Halloween events in Melbourne this year which is great news since we couldn’t really have a proper Halloween last year! Here are a few ideas:
Monster Mash at Bunji Palace
Creepy! Furry! Ugly! Huge! Slimy! Scary! Monsters!!! This year for Halloween turn your attention to monsters, with a jam-packed online program at Bunji Palace. Make your own monster blob and learn from a real film make-up FX expert on how to create some of the scariest faces ever.
Trick or Treat at Sanctuary Lakes
Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre in Melbourne’s west have a trick or treat trail is on Sunday 31st October from 1pm – 4pm Use the special map to find all the stores where you can score delicious sweet treats!
Brick or Treat Legoland
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is taking kids on a Brick-or-Treat adventure from the comfort of their own home!
You can join Master Model Builder Kieran Jiwa for a virtual Brick-or-Treat party where kids can dress up in their scariest costume and follow Kieran’s clues to find LEGO gifts and lollies hidden around their house. Simply download the instructions sheet and press play in the below video to be part of the Halloween fun!
For those who don’t want to go out for trick or treat, go on a Halloween Hunt!
Following on from the Bear hunt many families were taking part over the past year, along with the rainbows in windows, we are calling everyone in Melbourne to put a pumpkin in your window whether you have kids or not!
It doesn’t have to be anything special. It can be a real one, or one that the kids have drawn and cut out, anything!
Then families can all get dressed up in their scariest outfits and head out for a walk around your neighbourhood hunting for pumpkins.
Make sure you have a stash of sweets with you, so you can fill up their Halloween baskets every time they spot a pumpkin!
The kids still get to celebrate Halloween, and they still come home with a bag of treats!
