The restaurant’s design is a blend of traditional Mexican elements and modern touches, creating a vibrant and welcoming space for diners of all ages.

There are 2 areas, indoor and outdoor. The outdoor garden area can be fully closed in cooler weather and includes a fantastic kids area for families. There are plenty of kids toys including a play kitchen and table and chairs with colouring books and pencils etc allowing children to play while parents enjoy their meal.

Plus they have special events throughout the year for families too!

The Menu

The menu at Hecho en Mexico Altona is extensive, offering a wide range of Mexican dishes that cater to various tastes and dietary preferences. From classic tacos and burritos to more elaborate dishes like enchiladas and fajitas, there’s something for everyone including the kids with their special kids meals.

We shared a variety of dishes from nachos and burritos to paella and fajitas. The fajitas and paella were served sizzling hot still steaming when they arrived at our table. Everything was delicious and the portions are super generous.

The deserts look amazing! We finished with some churros which were gone in about two seconds! These were an instant favourite with the kids. The cocktails are also delicious, we tried the special margheritas and of course the mulled wine was perfect on a cool night!
