Holiday Inn Werribee Review
Located in Melbourne’s west, and just a short stroll from Werribee’s main street is Werribee’s Holiday Inn where families are front and centre.
We were invited to spend a weekend at Holiday Inn Werribee with our kids 10 and 12 years old, and stayed in a connecting room looking over the city centre.
The reception area is well set out with large windows and lots of natural light. The lobby is sectioned off and also has a work space, along with a bar area for drinks. The staff are friendly and inviting and happy to help with anything you need.
This modern hotel has 150 spacious and stylish rooms fitted with large comfortable beds. Each room has a large TV and free WIFI. There is also a coffee/tea station and a small bar fridge.
We stayed in 2 connecting rooms which the kids loved as we all had our own space. They even put some cute little towel teddies on the bed for the kids along with some activity packs in their room.
The bathrooms are quite large and offer the basic amenities. Should you require anything extra or you have forgotten anything from home, the reception staff are happy to provide it for you.
There is undercover parking, and a complimentary fitness centre.
Holiday Inn also offer fantastic dining options, including Rosana Bistro and Bar, a family-friendly restaurant. They serve up delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner that cater to all tastes.
Lunch and dinner has a range of options from fish to meats, pasta and salads. There is a kids menu too with all the favourites. The Kids Stay & Eat Free policy means your little ones can enjoy tasty meals without adding to the bill, a massive bonus for families looking to save.
For dinner we tried the steak, fish and some kids meals for dinner, and everything was delicious.
We had the buffet breakfast in the morning which has everything from bacon and eggs (cooked any way you like) with all the extras to waffles and pancakes. There is fresh fruit and yoghurt and a range of healthy options too.
Best Things to do In Werribee Nearby
One of the best things about staying at Holiday Inn Werribee is how close you are to some of the best family attractions in the area.
Werribee Zoo:
Just a short drive from the hotel, this open-range zoo is a must-visit. You can arrive early to beat the crowds, perfect for snapping photos and enjoying up-close encounters with giraffes, rhinos, and other wildlife. It’s a unique experience that’s sure to be a highlight for kids and adults.
Wyndham Harbour:
This new marina is a hidden gem in Werribee. Take a stroll along the foreshore and soak up the views, or simply let the kids run off some energy in this picturesque setting.
Mini Golf by the Marina:
Located right on the waterfront, this mini golf course is a fantastic family activity with a side of incredible views. It’s a fun way to spend an afternoon, and the fresh sea air adds to the experience. There is a restaurant on site serving up delicious meals and a café too.
Werribee Mansion and Gardens:
Step back in time as you explore this historic mansion and its beautiful gardens. It’s an excellent spot for a family picnic or a leisurely walk among the flowers. The mansion’s architecture and lush gardens are stunning.

Dining Highlights
Holiday Inn Werribee makes mealtimes a breeze. The on-site restaurant, Rosana, offers a range of family-friendly options, with something to please even the pickiest eaters. Kids eat free when you stay so it’s a great deal.
Don’t miss dessert nearby. Karomi Cheesecake serves up some of the best sweet treats in town. It was a huge hit for our family!
The local gelato options are a must-try. Even if you’re Italian and picky about your gelato like we are!, you’ll be impressed by the authentic, delicious flavours at Il Matto just up the road.
