Look out, we may have just found the most child friendly café in Melbourne! Hopscotch Play Café is a one-of-a-kind play centre and café with a difference. Based in Melbourne’s South East, Hopscotch is a  fun play space for toddlers and young kids where they can play independently using their imagination. All while mum is sitting back having a coffee!

“The fun is never ending when you’re playing and pretending!” That is the motto at Hopscotch Play Café. This unique, child friendly café is a place for both parents and kids and you are going to want to come back over and over again.

The play area is perfect for toddlers and young children.

Kids just love the 7 themed play spaces full of imaginary play which include a construction zone, supermarket (complete with working ATM), kitchen, house and garden, nursery with dolls and library.

Each separate area has been thought out so well, and provides kids with everything they need to play, explore, and learn.

What we really love is that everything is viewable from the café. With see-through glass partitions, and a child safety gate, you can sit back with your coffee and see everything your little one is doing from the sidelines.

Hopscotch Café

The Hopscotch café serves up a delicious range of hot and cold beverages, along with snacks and meals for both parents and kids. You can also find milkshakes, iced coffees, soft drinks and juices.

Grab yourself a barista made coffee, tea or hot chocolate while the kids sip on their baby chinos.

For morning tea, you can select from a range of options including freshly made croissants, muffins and cookies. Lunch options include focaccias, toasted sandwiches, frittata, sausage rolls, and the ever popular grazing platter for the little ones with meats, cheese, crackers, fruit and salad.

Plenty of highchairs available for the little ones.

The café is open for play sessions Monday – Friday. Weekends, the café is open for coffees however the play space is reserved for birthday parties and functions. See the website for hours.

• Get there on time to get the most out of your play time
• Plenty of parking onsite
• No BYO food except for baby bottles
• Very pram friendly, even in the bathrooms
• Changing facilities available as well as children’s toilet
• Children under 12mths old are free but still need a booking
