House Down Under, Melbourne
House Down Under is a unique and fun attraction in Melbourne for the whole family. A great way to have a great upside-down experience.

House Down Under, Melbourne
If you are into quirky and fun family photos then the House Down Under should be on your list of places to visit. Right in the centre of the District Docklands this upside down house provides plenty of topsy turvy photo ops.

There are multiple rooms on both levels to try your hand at posing in the upside down world. Each level has a staff member to help you pose and take photos if needed.

After you’ve picked your most unique poses and visit every topsy turvy room, you need to edit your photos and flip them upside down to get the full effect.

The House Down Under is located right under the Melbourne Star Ferris wheel. There is loads of parking in the parking lot or the 70 tram stops right out front of the District Docklands. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from around the House Down Under too.

Tips for Visiting House Down Under
- If you suffer from any form of vertigo, there is a good possibility it will be much worse in the house.
- The unevenness can be unsettling to some young children. My daughter had a complete meltdown on the top level of the house but loved the bottom level. That being said, my teen thought it was super cool!
- The floors are slanted, the staircase is a spiral and the doorways narrow so the House Down Under is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs.
