ICEHQ – Melbourne’s newest Ice-skating rink
ICEHQ is Melbourne’s newest ice-skating rink, open 7 days a week. Located 14km from Melbourne’s CBD, in the Northern suburb of Reservoir, families with kids of all ages and abilities can hit the ice and enjoy a casual skate sessions, or learn to skate in the Ice HQ skate school.

Get your skates on and come join the fun at ICEHQ. The rink is open to everyone for public skating at designated times, with private lessons also available, ice hockey sessions and private birthday functions.
For beginners and younger skaters, there are animal shaped ‘skate aids’ available (for an additional fee), as well as knee pads and helmets which can be hired for free.
Staff are stationed within the rink to help the littlies on their feet and to offer tips to ensure you stay upright.
The vibe in the skating rink is fun and upbeat with music videos playing on the screen and disco lights flashing as you skate on by. There are also group games that you can join whilst on the ice, like follow the leader, limbo and many others.
If you want to rest post skating, there is a warm upstairs café/function space that overlooks the rink where you can rest your feet or you can also pop into the downstairs café for some snacks, coffee or lunch.
Be prepared for a workout and some fun-filled action!!

Tips for Visiting Ice HQ
- Wear warm clothes as the ice-skating rink is frosty “Brrrr”.
- Bring a spare pair of socks.
- Hire a skate aid for the little ones for just $5, totally worth it.
- You will probably fall a few times if you are a beginner, don’t worry, it will be ok!
- Café onsite serving snacks and beverages
