IMAX Cinema Melbourne Museum – 3D Experience with Movies Made Real
Imax cinemas are not like your usual cinema. Imax makes movies come to life and deliver the ultimate movie experience for all ages whether you are watching a Hollywood blockbuster or an IMAX documentary.
IMAX Cinema Melbourne Museum
IMAX cinemas provide the most immersive cinematic experience you will ever have. You can find a range of the latest movies and documentaries, which when you pair it with a morning or afternoon at Melbourne Museum, it makes a great day out for the whole family.
With a custom-built 3D theatre, IMAX Melbourne is home to the largest cinema screen in the world. The cinema screen spans a massive 32 metres wide x 23 metres high, and has Australia’s only IMAX 4K Laser Projector.
Designed and purpose-built as a 3D theatre, the movies you see at IMAX Melbourne really come to life as they use two 4K Laser projectors to ensure the highest quality 3D experience, no matter where you’re seated.
The IMAX cinema at Melbourne Museum is located downstairs to the left of the Melbourne Museum entrance. There is only one theatre, but it has a range of movies and documentaries playing daily
You will find a candy bar with popcorn, snacks, and drinks to bring in with you to watch the movie, just like your usual cinema.
Then as you go through to the theatre you pick up your 3D glasses on the way.
The kids will love watching movies come to life on the big screen, and it makes a great family outing for all ages.
