Lillydale Lake Playground & Water Play, Lilydale
At the foot of the Yarra Valley, the Lillydale Lake Playground is one of the biggest playgrounds in the area including water play.

This awesome playground is sure to impress. Set on the Lillydale Lake it has everything you could need for the kids to burn off some energy.
There are a couple of different wooden structures with plenty of fun things to play on.
For the little kids there is a smaller slide for the little ones, and for the older kids a larger twisty slide.
For those who love to climb, there is a choice of a multiple climbing structures, and rope ladders.
The flying fox is popular and when the park is busy there can be a line to have a turn as all of the kids love it.
Plenty of swings too which is great so kids don’t have to wait too long to have a go. There are different swings for different ages including a mum and bub swing too.
The big attraction in the warmer months is definitely the water play. The splash pad has water jets and sprays and is great for all ages. Don’t forget to bring the bathers or at least a change of clothes because the kids are bound to get wet!
Also you have the lake right there near the playground too. Far enough away for the little ones, but close by to get the cool breeze in the summer time.
The lake is one of the best places for paddle boarding and kayaking for beginners too, and you will often see people out on their paddle boards and kayaks.
In summer it’s usually packed with families having a splash in the water on the sandy bank too.
The Lillydale Lake Playground makes a great day out for family picnic, or even a birthday party. There are plenty undercover tables and BBQ’s and there are often large family gatherings about.
Lots of trees creating shade as well if you prefer to sit and have a picnic.
There is a coffee van set up which is usually there every day, they sell hot and cold beverages and also biscuits and snacks. They sometimes also sell cute little doggy biscuits for your pup!
In the summer time you can also see the ice-cream van occasionally.
It makes a great spot to sit back and have a coffee while you watch your kids run around.
