We checked out the brand new Little Amigos Play Café at Southland and the kids were loving it! It’s clean, modern, and has been thoughtfully designed to entertain little ones while giving parents a comfortable space to relax.

The playcentre is arranged into imaginative, age-appropriate zones that cater to a wide range of interests:

Babies have their own enclosed “farm” space with soft grass, a gentle hill to climb, and plenty of sensory play opportunities like wall-mounted toys and plush carrots to “harvest.” It’s a safe and calming space for the littlest explorers.

For toddlers and preschoolers, the fun really begins with the foam block construction pit known as “The Cave,” where kids can dig, build, and drive toy trucks through soft sand-style blocks.

The Little Chef’s Supermarket is fun, kids can grab a trolley, fill it with pretend groceries, and even serve up meals in the play kitchen area—perfect for role play and social interaction.

There’s also a central soft play structure with small slides, padded stairs, a mini ball pit, and even a wrecking-ball swing for those wanting a bit more movement.

Other fun additions include a pamper parlour stocked with costumes and pretend makeup counters, a fire truck setup complete with hats and jackets for aspiring firefighters, and a digital zoo catcher game where kids can catch animals on screen using a sensor net.

The Vet area is cool where kids can take on the roles of veterinarians and dentists. And for the little builders, the Lego Building Zone is great for creating and using imagination.

One of the biggest highlights, though, is the ride-on train that chugs around the play area at scheduled times throughout the day—an extra treat that kids will definitely remember.

While the kids play, parents can enjoy a coffee or bite to eat at the onsite café, which is integrated into the space so you can relax while still keeping an eye on the action.

The menu is surprisingly extensive for a play café, with all-day breakfast options like pancakes and eggs benedict, kids’ meals including pizza and fish tacos, plus burgers, toasties, sweet treats, and babycinos. The space is pram-friendly with plenty of seating and high chairs available, making it easy for families with babies and toddlers.
