Logan Reserve, Altona
Logan Reserve is a well maintained park that caters to kids and adults of all ages. The reserve is home to large grassy areas surrounded by shady trees, ideal for picnics, casual family gatherings, or just lounging in the sun.
It’s the kind of place where you can kick a footy, toss a frisbee, or let the kids run wild and climb trees.
You can bring own food to enjoy at the picnic tables, or make use of the free barbecue facilities. If you’d prefer something easy, Pier Street offers plenty of cafés, takeaway shops, and restaurants with family friendly options. We love Hecho en Mexico a short walk away otherwise the Fish n Chip shop is also great.

Another bonus? Logan Reserve is directly opposite Altona Beach. On warmer days you can combine a park play with a swim or a paddle in the calm, shallow waters which perfect for kids.
The reserve is also known for hosting community events and markets, especially on weekends and during holidays, so there’s often something happening to add a little extra fun to your visit.
