Muddy’s Playground runs along the Esplanade not far from the Esplanade Lagoon. It is one of Cairns most popular attractions for families and is exceptionally designed for kids of all ages and abilities.

The theme of Muddy’s Playground “Life in Trinity Bay” which is reflected all through. Famous for its water play features, Muddy’s Playground is a super fun and safe playground which is packed full of fun play equipment, and interactive and educational facilities.

You will find plenty of water play areas for kids of all ages, along with various slides, cubby houses, climbing structures, sound chimes, rope bridges, see-saw, puzzle games and of course the flying fox.

While Muddy’s Playground isn’t enclosed, there is a special area for young children which is fenced off giving parents peace of mind knowing your toddler can play independently without running away.

Muddy’s Playground is only a few minutes walk from the Cairns Lagoon, which is a popular swimming spot for families and is free.

The playground is open from 9am – 7pm every day of the year, even public holidays and weekends.

Muddy’s Café is nearby serving up a variety of food and beverages for breakfast lunch and dinner including a kid’s menu. There is also BBQ facilities if you prefer to bring your own.
