NBA Exhibition, District Docklands Melbourne
Attention all basketball fans, the NBA-Themed Exhibition Showcasing the Lifestyle, Culture and History of the NBA has opened up at the District Docklands in Melbourne and we got a sneak peek!

NBA Exhibition Melbourne
The NBA Exhibition made its debut in Melbourne in April 2024! It is an interactive, NBA-themed fan experience showcases the lifestyle, culture and history of the NBA.
Located at the District Docklands in Melbourne, the NBA Exhibition is suitable all ages with a variety of touchpoints to interact with the NBA.
We visited as a family with kids from 3 – 8 years old, and there was something for all of us to enjoy!

The expo takes you on a journey of discovery across 20 themed sections where you have the opportunity to participate in customised activations, including virtual and augmented reality experiences, photos with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, and more.
The area is a massive 1,100 square metre venue and when you arrive you are immersed in a multi-sensory NBA experience.
You can measure your vertical jump and reflexes and test your basketball skills on the courts and showcase your shooting skills, there are hoops of all sizes, even for the young basketball fans. Our little one loved that there was a hoop short enough for him to practice his shots.
There is also an awesome augmented reality photo booth where you have the opportunity to take your photo with NBA players and a “Slam Dunk Selfie” where you can pose to get a photo in dunking motion.

The kids loved the “Measure Up!” expo featuring shoe and handprints of NBA players, they couldn’t believe how big some of their hand prints were.
The virtual reality booths were pretty cool too, we got to experience NBA highlights through VR goggles.

The 2023-24 NBA season is airing live in Australia on ESPN and NBA League Pass, the league’s premium live game subscription service available via the NBA App.
