Celebrate Oktoberfest in Melbourne at one of the best known Bavarian restaurants
“Guten Tag”… It’s time to “Prost” at the Oktoberfest in Melbourne! Australia’s biggest and best Oktoberfest bash is bringing an exciting line up of family friendly activities over six weeks at the Munich Brauhaus! Bring the kids along for lunch or dinner, and soak up the Oktoberfest atmosphere.
Oktoberfest in Melbourne at the Munich Brauhaus
Opening weekend kicks off on the 22nd of September at midday with street parties around the restaurant set to entertain the entire family.
Colourful performers and costumed entertainers will fill the streets with song, dance, live oompah music and yodel in a mesmerising child-friendly parade.
Kid Friendly Menu
Munich Brauhaus have with a diverse kids’ menu featuring mac n cheese balls, chicken schnitzel, The Little Brat hot dog, grilled cheese sandwiches and a classic selection of haus-made gelato in a trio of flavours: chocolate crumble, vanilla and strawberry.
Oktoberfest Entertainment
2pm: The Oktoberfest fun continues when the little ones can be entertained by the adults’ sausage eating competition.
4pm: Children will love the furry four-legged friends strutting their stuff for the Dogs of Oktoberfest contest. From Schnauzers to Pinschers and Daschunds to Poodles, dogs of all sizes will have the chance to win some great prizes!
7pm: Competition time for the best dressed. Families are invited to dress in their finest lederhosen and dirndls for the Best Dressed Oktoberfest Competition where there will be a $250 restaurant voucher for the winner.
Festivities will continue throughout the evening with live oompah bands, on-stage yodelling and traditional slap dancing.
Family Sunday Funday at Munich Brauhaus
Sunday Funday continues throughout Oktoberfest, with pencil colouring packs and a free meal for children under 12 available with every adult meal purchased.
FREE face painting is available between 12pm and 3pm!
