Peterson Reserve Playground, Highett
Looking for a fun playground in Melbourne’s South East? Peterson Reserve Playground is a great spot to bring the kids to burn off energy, have a picnic, and hang out for a morning or afternoon.

Peterson Reserve Playground
Peterson Reserve playground is located in Melbourne’s southeast in Highett. It is set amongst native trees and has two sport ovals and there is this instantly recognisable orange sculpture which is super cool.

The playground is separated into two zones: one more suited to older children and another better for toddlers and younger children, although more capable youngsters will love the entire play area.
Spinning around on the Supernova, zooming down any of the three slides or just running around the boardwalk will fill any child with unbridled joy.

Little ones will love the sand area. There are plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and if you bring your bucket and spade you they can also do some digging.

There is a skatepark where kids can go on their scooters, bikes or roller skates. There is also a tennis hitting wall and a basketball hoop for those who want to play sports.

If you have a dog, there are signs leading to off lead areas where your pooch can have a run around.
There is a great picnic area with plenty of tables, benches, and a bbq too. With toilets on site too it make a great spot to spend the day.
