Looking for something fun for older kids in Melbourne? Powerplay E-Karting is Melbourne’s ultimate indoor racing experience and it’s not just for adults! We checked out the Braybrook venue with our tween kids who absolutely loved it, and we parents had just as much fun battling it out on the track. It was competitive but full of fun.
PowerPlay E Karts
As soon as you step inside Powerplay, the excitement kicks in. The neon lights, high energy music, and sleek race karts make it feel like you’ve stepped straight into a futuristic video game. But instead of watching the action, you’re in it, driving at top speed through every turn and straight.
It’s a great activity for the older kids, and is recommended for kids over 10 years old. Drivers need to be over 140cm but kids and adults can race together, so it’s an experience the whole family can share.
After a quick safety briefing and a few nerves at the starting line, the race is on. The electric karts are fast, smooth, and super responsive, and with zero emissions there’s no smell or noise.
The track at Braybrook is full of twists and turns that keep every race exciting, and because it’s indoors, you can race rain or shine. You can check your lap times at the end on the leaderboard and see who was the fastest!
It’s a great mix of friendly competition and family fun, and the perfect activity for older kids birthday parties, or even just a spontaneous day out.
