Raging Waters Day Out in Sydney
Raging Waters is Sydney’s best water park with more than 30 slides and attractions for kids (and their adults!) of all sizes, with a whole zone dedicated to the little ones.
Whether you’re looking for a great way to spend a hot Summer’s day, or to pass some time in the school holidays, here’s how to plan the perfect trip.

Raging Waters Sydney
Formerly Wet n’ Wild, Raging Waters Sydney went through a huge renovation and is the biggest, best water theme park with plenty of thrills to get you through the day.
You will find four different towers with a range of slides, from mild to intense (they are all categorised, so you know what you’re getting into before you hop on!).
There’s also an entire Junior section, with mini slides for the younger ones, along with a The Beach Wave Pool, Dinosaur Lagoon and Splash Pads.

Before you venture out, it’s worth noting that there are height limits in place.
For the big slides, you need to be at least 110cm and can ride when accompanied by a guest over 122cm, or 122cm as an individual. Of course little ones can head to the junior slides where they can ride alone at 100cm, or with someone over 137cm if they are smaller.
Once you pay the entry fee, you are free to ride all day long without any extra costs along the way.
Raging Waters Junior

If you’re bringing little ones along, then you’ll want to make a beeline for this area. It’s perfect for them! They can have a go on the mini slides (where the queues tend to be much quicker) and get a taste of all the thrills to come as they get bigger.
You’ll also find the Splash Pads here, so if you have cheeky kids like ours, they can have a splash while you do some queuing for them (well play kids!).
From here, you can walk next door to Dinosaur Lagoon, where you wait for an inflatable ring, jump on and let the water push you around the place. The kids (5 & 7) loved this and we did a few loops.
In the middle is The Wave Pool, where waves come on about every 15 minutes. This was another favourite for the kids, as they jumped over them one by one and begged to stay for the next round. It’s also a great spot to base yourself for the day if you’re with a group, as it’s nice and central.

Slides
If it’s slides you came for, then slides you will find!
There’s four towers full of them. From the H2Go Racers to the Half Pipe, Riptide, T5 and plenty more, simply make your way from tower to tower and have a few turns testing out the different ones on offer.

Top tips for your day at Raging Waters Sydney
One thing you need to know about Raging Waters Sydney is that it’s a popular spot. That means you need to expect queues. Here’s some of our tips for making the most of your day there:
Buy tickets online
Buy your ticket (including parking) online before you go to avoid disappointment.
Raging Xpress
Consider the Raging Xpress for $99 per person, which is a pass that lets you skip the queues. On a busy day, this is well-worth considering.
Pack plenty of food
The last thing you want is to spend half your time (and so much extra money), waiting in line for food. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and find a spot to spread out.
Purchase a Cabana

If you want a guaranteed spot to spend your day in shade, consider a cabana. They range in price from $65 and offer up shelter, seating, and some even have TVs, fridges and safes to lock your valuables away. We were treated to the Wave Pool VIP Cabana and it made our day.
We had a base to come back to and beat the crowds, while we cooled off and enjoyed a bite to eat. You could even order food and have it delivered straight to you – no queues!
Bring the sunscreen
You can’t take hats, goggles or sunglasses on the rides with you, which means a hot day out in full sun. Make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen and come back and reapply as often as possible. If you have someone who isn’t riding with you, pop them in charge of holding these items so you can keep them with you.
