Risky Kids Moorabbin
Looking for a high-energy kids activity in Melbourne where children can climb, jump, balance and build confidence? Risky Kids Moorabbin runs structured weekly classes and where kids can develop strength, coordination and resilience through obstacle- based movement training. Its an exciting indoor obstacle and movement program designed for active kids who love challenges.
We recently visited Risky Kids Moorabbin for a trial class with two kids aged 5 and 6 years old, and another with a 3 year old. They all absolutely loved it. They were running, balancing, climbing and tackling obstacle challenges while being encouraged by the coaches to push themselves and try new things.

What to Expect at Risky Kids Moorabbin
Risky Kids Moorabbin is a purpose-built indoor kids activity centre in Moorabbin designed for energetic children who thrive on movement and physical challenges. Each session combines obstacle courses, physical games and team challenges that help kids build strength, coordination, focus and confidence.
During our visit with the older kids we worked through three different movement stations that included climbing obstacles, balancing on beams, jumping across platforms and navigating agility challenges.
The classes are fast-paced and fun, with coaches guiding kids through the activities and encouraging them to try their best.

What we really loved about Risky Kids was the focus on building confidence and resilience. Kids are encouraged to try, fail, reset and try again, helping them develop persistence and self-belief in a supportive environment.
A unique part of the Risky Kids program is their experiential learning approach, where each week they are taught a different growth mindset that helps kids grow both physically and mentally. Kids learn about concepts such as:
- Building confidence
- Emotional regulation
- Positive thinking
- Risk intelligence
- Critical thinking
- Teamwork and compassion

These discussions are simple and age-appropriate, helping kids build the kind of resilience and confidence that carries over into school and everyday life.
For kids with lots of energy, this is a fantastic outlet. It’s active, engaging and helps develop physical skills while also encouraging problem solving and persistence.
