Dino Sand Sculpting At Boneo Discovery Park
This Summer at Boneo Discovery Park you can have an incredible prehistoric journey through sand with the open air exhibition DINO Sand Sculpting. It’s a full sensory experience for all ages and a great day out for the family.

Dino Sand Sculpting – Boneo Discovery Park
Set on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne’s South East Boneo Discovery Park is one of Melbourne’s best theme parks with so much to do.
Every Summer they host a sand sculpting expo with different themes, this year it’s Jurassic! Boneo Discovery Park is bringing dinosaurs back to life!
Well not quite, but the sand sculptured Australian dinosaurs are amazing!

2,500 tons of sand have been sculpted into four-meter-high Australian Dinosaurs, flanked by hand-crafted life-size robotic replicas.
The detail and gravity defying Jurassic scenes are artistically inspiring having being created by a range of the world’s best sand sculptors.

The sand sculptures are set amongst 27 acers of wetland along a walk trail and whilst they are not quite roaming our lands again, they are set amongst several animatronic dinosaurs.

Children can join sand sculpting workshops to create their own sand masterpieces and marvel at the animatronic versions to add movement and sound.

Entry also includes the other features of the park including the maze, gardens, giant games and jumping castle.
Or relax for a drink on the lakeside deck while the children do some art and craft in a well-stocked craft corner that kept our children occupied for another hour.

For an additional fee you can play on the rides, mini golf and other additional activities are available; so have no doubt you will fill a good part of half a day here.
