Springhill Farm Kids Snacks Review: Healthy Lunchbox and School Holiday Snacks Ideas

Looking for easy snack ideas for kids that work just as well in school lunchboxes as they do on family adventures?

We’ve recently been trying some of the snacks from Springhill Farm, an Australian family-owned business based in Ballarat that has been creating better-for-you snacks using real ingredients, like the ones you would recognise in your own pantry, for more than 40 years.

Springhill Farm Healthy Kids Snacks Review

As a mum (and auntie to lots of nieces and nephews), I’m always on the look out for healthy snacks that the kids will actually eat. Whether it’s a busy school morning or a day exploring Melbourne, having something ready to grab and go, that I can trust, makes life so much easier.

Springhill Farm’s nut free lunchbox snacks have quickly become favourites offering a tasty snack option made with wholesome ingredients.

Springhill Farm Snacks For Kids

Springhill Farm’s philosophy is simple: create delicious snacks using real pantry ingredients that families know and trust.

The result is a range of snacks designed to make life easier for busy families. They do the heavy lifting for us Mum’s. Always making something that delivers on taste first, and better-for-you and the other choices out there.

Rice Puff Bar Vanilla Sprinkle

The Rice Puff Bar Vanilla Sprinkle was probably the favourite. It is inspired by the classic LCM treats many of us grew up with, these bars offer all the fun and flavour kids love while containing less than a teaspoon of sugar per serve (compared to LCMs which contain more than double that amount).

Each bar is individually wrapped for convenience, is a source of protein and fibre and gluten free. The vanilla flavour is light and sweet, while the colourful sprinkles make it feel like a special treat.

We have a little one in our family with celiac disease and finding lunchbox snacks that are both gluten free and genuinely enjoyable can be surprisingly difficult. These are the kind of products that make life easier for families managing dietary requirements without making kids feel like they’re missing out.

Rice Puff Bar Choc Chip

The Rice Puff Bar Choc Chip was a hit too. With choc chips throughout, it has that familiar crunchy texture kids enjoy while still containing less than a teaspoon of sugar per serve.

Like the Vanilla Sprinkle variety, it is gluten free and is a great allergen friendly snack for kids providing a source of both protein and fibre.

Choc Oat Slice

For kids who need something a little more filling, the Choc Oat Slice is another great option, or a Mum that needs a great 3pm pick-me-up..

Made with real oats, it provides a source of both protein and fibre while containing less than a teaspoon of sugar per serve.

The chocolate flavour makes it appealing to kids, while the oats help create a more satisfying snack that keeps little bodies fuelled throughout busy days.

Perfect School Lunchbox Snacks, School Holidays and Family Adventures

One of the biggest challenges for parents is finding snacks that are convenient, kid-approved and made with ingredients they feel good about. Springhill Farm’s kids’ range ticks all three boxes.

The individually wrapped bars are perfect for school lunchboxes, after-school activities and family adventures. Whether you’re heading to the playground, packing for a road trip or exploring a museum, they’re an easy grab-and-go snack for busy days.

For families managing dietary requirements, the gluten free Rice Puff Bars are a fantastic option. I know how difficult it can be to find snacks that are suitable, convenient and still taste great. Springhill Farm has found that sweet spot between what kids want to eat and what parents are happy to pack – they’ll be in our holiday rotation for sure.
