St Kilda Botanical Gardens
St Kilda Botanical Gardens are a great location if you are looking for somewhere for a quiet family picnic or walk in Melbourne.

St Kilda Botanical Gardens
The St Kilda Botanic Gardens date back to 1859 and are one of Melbourne’s best botanic gardens.
On display are a variety of native and exotic plants, lots of beautiful trees to laze around under, a nursery, and a rainforest conservatory.

There are also a range of beautiful flower beds, and an ornamental pond where you can see the ducks

The gardens also attract a variety of wildlife such as ducks, possums, pigeons, Fantails, Rainbow Lorikeet or Owls to name a few.

They are beautiful to walk through, people watch or spend time with family and friends.

For the kids, there is a great children’s play area which includes a slide, swings and climbing frame, lush lawns and a glasshouse.

It is a great location for a lovely picnic with the highlights being the rose gardens, greenhouse, and children’s playground.
