If you’re visiting the Melbourne Museum this summer you can’t miss the pink and yellow set up covering the outside plaza. Welcome to the Summer of Play!

Summer of Play is new at Melbourne Museum.
Fancy a game of hand ball or ping pong? See the Plaza Play Concierge outside the Melbourne Museum (between the hours of 12pm-5pm daily) to grab a racquet or game pieces.
Try out the light up seesaw or swing. Take a break under a shady umbrella.
There’s plenty of space for everyone and lots to do!
There are late night events on Friday and Saturday to the end of January with DJs, entertainment and food trucks until 11pm.
The illuminated swings and seesaws would look especially cool after dark.
Saturday 21 January is a special Lunar New Year theme with Vietnamese food trucks and Lunar New Year inspired DJ set.
The kids especially enjoyed the ice cream truck from 196Below. They loved watching the Nitrogen Ice Cream making process and loved eating the ice cream even more.
The ice cream truck is open Wednesday – Sunday 11am-5pm.
