Sydney Wild Life Zoo Darling Harbour
Right in the heart of Sydney is a gorgeous little zoo waiting to be discovered. Sydney Wild Life Zoo is a little piece of the Australian outback in Darling Harbour and is perfect for a family day out.

Sydney Wild Life Zoo
The Sydney Wildlife Zoo boasts a number of Australian animals including Aussie’s big 5 which includes kangaroos, koalas, wombat, platypus and a saltwater crocodile.
There are also many more animals that you can get up close and personal with.

Your Sydney Wildlife Zoo adventure starts off with a family photo opportunity before heading up the ramps as you read facts about animals along the way.
Once you reach the first enclosure it is an easy walk through to visit all of the animals. The animals are all very active and easy to find in their enclosures as you make your way around.

The zoo takes you on a journey as you encounter many animals including rock wallabies, snakes, lizards and nocturnal animals along the way before arriving to the open Kangaroo space called the kangaroo walkabout.
This is where a rope is all that separates you from the kangaroos sleeping and relaxing in the sun.

The salt water crocodile tank is another highlight of the day as you climb under the water to get right into the centre of the crocodiles tank and get closer to a crocodile than you have ever been before.
Close enough to count its teeth, watch his body moving in and out as it breathes and see the bubbles sneaking out of its nose as it rests right next to you.

The zoo also offers zoo keeper talks throughout the day. The talks are a great way to enhance your visit as you learn more about each of the animals.
The talk times can be found at each of the enclosure’s or by scanning the QR codes at the zoo.
As an add on extra you can book into have a photo with the koalas up at the Koala rooftop café.

While up there grab a cold drink or ice cream and sit and watch the koalas or look down on the kangaroos in the kangaroo walkabout.
The zoo is both pram and wheelchair friendly with the zoo having gentle inclines to navigate or lifts to take you to different parts of the zoo to make it easy and simple for everyone to get around.
There are also a range of kids activities going on throughout the year too.

After visiting Wild Life zoo, why not go and explore our beautiful Darling harbour with many areas suitable for children to explore.
With lots of cafes and restaurants you will be spoiled for choices on where to eat a delicious lunch.
