Sand Free Towel… Yes Please!
If you haven’t yet heard of the Tesalate beach towels, you must be in hiding, because they are fast becoming a popular Summer essential! Our Tesalate towel review will explain everything you need to know!
Tesalate Sand Free Beach Towels
I didn’t realise how much sand an every day towel will hold until moving back to Melbourne. Living on the South Coast of Italy for many years, our Summers were spent on pebble beaches, so the sand didn’t really annoy us.
If we did visit sandy beaches, the shore was full of sun beds for hire anyway, so either way, our towels were mostly sand free. It was always just so easy with the kids with little mess so no wonder we spent most of our Summer days on the beach!
Back at the beaches in Melbourne and I honestly didn’t realise how much sand could stress me out. Just bringing our beach bag into the house with wet soggy towels full of sand after one day was enough to make me cringe.
Until we discovered Tesalate who send us out a couple of their sand free beach towels to try out.
Happy to say, we have been sand free ever since.
Tesalate Beach Towel Review
Tesalate claim to have the world’s best beach towels. The Sydney based company only sell sand free beach towels, so their focus is to be the best at what they do. Here are some of the features we love:
The Tesalate beach towels come in a handy bag with drawstring and are quite compact. Seeing the bag, you don’t realise how big the actual towel is until you open it up.
There are 2 sizes available:
Single = 160cm x 80cm / 63 x 31 inches
Double = 160cm x 160cm / 63 x 63 inches
The double is great if you have younger kids as it doubles as a picnic rug.
The Tesalate beach towels are highly absorbent. The kids sat on them straight from the water and it soaked it all up in seconds without feeling too wet.
The standard size Tesalate towel can soak up to 1ltr of water and the double size can soak up to 2ltrs.
Being fast drying is important, because kids are constantly running in and out of the water. The Tesalate sand free towels dry in half the time your normal towel would.
There are so many beautiful designs to choose from when choosing a Tesalate towel that you will probably find it difficult to choose. There are lots of fun vibrant colours. Featured in this article are: Double: The Alchemist, Single: The Aegean
Did we mention sand free? Yep the sand just slips right off. We tried it out, I even let the kids cover the towels with sand before shaking them off. Yes, definitely sand free.
How do the Tesalate towels feel?
The Tesalate towels are made from exclusive AbsorbLite microfiber with 80% polyester and 20% polyamide, the fabric allows the sand to fall straight off it.
They don’t feel like your every day cotton beach towel. They are not thick and fluffy, but they still have a soft feel and are comfortable to lay on.
The Tesalate sand free beach towels are also super light and really easy to wrap around your body. When the towels are wet, they have a similar feel to a chamois.
How much do Tessalate sand free towels cost?
Tessalate sand free towels are currently priced at $79 for the single, and $139 for the double. While they aren’t as cheap those you may find in somewhere like K-Mart or other department stores, the quality doesn’t compare. The Tesalate beach towels work out around the same price as most of your surf brand towels and for the quality, the price point isn’t too bad.
Bring home your towel, not the whole beach!
Australia boasts some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the world. With the Tesalate sand free towel you don’t need to bring that sand home with you. For our family, the sand free Tesalate beach towels have become a must have Summer accessory and we won’t head to the beach without them! See their website for more details.
