The Langham, Melbourne Review

Arriving at The Langham, Melbourne, it immediately feels like you are stepping back in time. The whole entrance is dramatically spectacular.
Greeted with Valet parking outside, you don’t have to lift a finger as the concierge takes the keys, and the porta takes care of the bags.
The first impressions are of pure elegance and class. The grand marble entrance provides a stunning staircase straight from out of an old movie with a back-drop of chandeliers and plenty of fresh flowers.

The short escalator ride brings you up to the lobby to a cascading water feature and the iconic Langham phone box where you are greeted for check in.

The service is impeccable from when your arrival to your departure and there is always someone to help you with whatever you need.
The Langham Melbourne – Rooms with a View
We stayed at the Langham Melbourne as a family of four with two kids aged 8 and 10.
We had two interconnecting rooms including The Deluxe River King and Delux River Twin. They have a classic style and the most stunning views of the Yarra River and Melbourne skyline.

The connecting rooms are perfect for families as when the doors are open it feels like a large suite.
The kids loved having their own space during our stay and we parents loved the peace and quiet when we could close the doors. It was like having our own night away, but with the kids right there, next door.
The King Delux features a large King sized bed, while the Twin Delux features two large King Single beds.

Both rooms have chairs by the large window, side tables, large desk, complete mini bar and coffee machine.
The large classic marble bathrooms are exceptional featuring a full sized shower, bath tub and all the little extras you could need. Having two of them was even better.

The Robes and slippers are always a nice touch especially when there are kids size. The boys were feeling like little princes lounging around.

The turndown service in the evenings is convenient.
Walking into a warm room with the lights down low, bed turned down and bottled water on the side tables feels very cosy.
