Thomas Street South Reserve Playground, Hampton
A visit to the Thomas Street South Reserve is a must for families if you haven’t been already.
The original castle feature has been modernised, and it is well-designed with many different zones

There is a three story castle to climb.

The expansive features beyond the castle mean this playground has everything to be a favourite for group gatherings, picnics, and kids’ birthday parties.
There are trampolines, a zip line, DJ spinning decks, slides, swings, exercise equipment, a giant hamster wheel and water play.

There are plenty of picnic facilities for food and barbecues.
If you want to keep out of the sun, there are also shady area’s available to escape as we move towards summer.
The playground is adjacent a spacious green reserve to kick a ball, or enjoy a picnic amongst shady trees.

There is a 500-metre waking path which can also be used for bike riding and scooters.
We spent 4 hours on a recent visit and the kids did not want to go home.
Yes it is popular and therefore sometimes crowded, however quieter and easier to park early morning.
Although don’t let that put you off as the playgrounds features are spread over a large space so it doesn’t feel as crowded.
This is a playground of the future, and you won’t be disappointed.
