Winter in Melbourne can get a bit chilly that’s for sure, but the Wharf Hotel Winter Igloos promise to warm you up and provide an unforgettable night out. This unique dining experience is great whether you’re planning a friends’ night out or a cozy date night!

Winter Igloo Dining Experience, Wharf Hotel Melbourne

Located at the Wharf Hotel right on the waterfront of the Yarra River these Winter Igloos offer a stunning setting for your evening out. As soon as you step inside these beautifully decorated igloos, you instantly feel the warmth. How cozy do they look!

The Setting

The Igloos are set outside of the hotel looking over the water. There are lunch and dinner settings, and I highly recommend the evening with the city lights.

The panoramic views, twinkling lights, and the city skyline creates a magical atmosphere that’s hard to beat. We visited with a group of friends for dinner and were all blown away by how beautiful and relaxing it is.

The igloos can seat from 2 – 6 people and are so beautiful and cosy. There are heaters and cosy blankets to keep you warm. There is also a blue tooth speaker you can play your own music on too.

The Food

The Winter Igloo Package is $55 per person and includes a shared entrée grazing platter and your choice of main meal. You have your own waiter to looks after you for your 2 hour session.

The platter had a baked cheese, some cured meats, olives, dips bread etc. It was the perfect way to kick off our meal, letting us try a bit of everything.

When we visited last yearwe chose a range dishes from the mussels, barramundi, and lamb. Every dish was a hit. Other options include schnitzel, gnocci, beef and more. Apologies I totally missed the photos of the mains they were that delish!

You can order drinks, deserts and any extras from the menu using a QR code, it’s really simple. We all had a cocktail to start with and tried the sticky date pudding, the perfect winter desert.
