Whittlesea Public Gardens Playground Lalor
Whittlesea public gardens outdoor recreation hub has a brand new look.
The main playground featuring a huge wooden structured climbing your way through the ropes or ladders to the tops then make your way down the giant slide!

The smaller wooden playground is perfect for younger kids to explore in and around including a wider shorter slide, connecting bridges and climbing tunnels.
A built in inground trampoline for all ages and abilities, a stand-up/ sit down spinning carousel and more!

The park includes a huge double flying fox. A rope obstacle course including balancing beam. A swing section with multiple swings and double face to face swing.

The learn to ride track was a huge hit! With roundabouts, speed bumps, intersections and crossings so don’t forget your helmet, bike or scoter!

There are some sheltered table seating areas however there’s limited shade around the playground area. There is plenty of wide open grass land to lay under a tree and chill out or have a kick of the footy.
There’s plenty of water stations around BBQs, toilet facilities and free parking.
The park has lots of native plants a small lake, river beds ducks and lots of different birds around. There are no fences around this public space.
The park also offers a free community 5km run/walk /family/ dog friendly event every Saturday morning at 8am around the Whittlesea gardens more information see the website.
Note the area is still being developed there is an off the leash gated dog park, small basketball court and gym facilities however these are yet to be redeveloped check the city of Whittlesea website for up coming closers of these areas.
