Wild about Wellbeing Working Farm Yarra Valley
The Wild about Wellbeing farm is family friendly and a very interactive experience for kids of all ages. There is so much to do on your day out.
The waiting area is filled with farm activities, puzzles, and fun things to do for kids to get you ready for your farm adventure.

Tractor Ride
From the comfort of the trailer farmer Ben will take you on a tractor ride around the farm! He provides commentary about the establishment of the farm, ecological innovation the farm undertakes, and talks about the types of animals and their names and the types of fresh produce the farm grows.

The tractor trailer is designed so you can hang your legs out the side and take in the views of the farm to the full extent. A little novelty the kids will love.

Baby animal nursery
The kids will love this very interactive experience to get up close with all these adorable baby animals.
Some of the baby animals currently found in the nursery include, chicks, ducklings, rabbits, guinea pigs and a piglet.

You will learn how to properly handle the animals safely. Sit down on a hay bale and give the little animals a cuddle, pat or simply watching the animals run around the nursery.
The paddock

Next stop it’s time to feed some bigger farm animals.
A quick safety brief, and then grab a carrot or two and head into the paddock to feed the very friendly horses and donkeys.

They see the tractor pull up and they immediately head to the gate eager for your arrival.
They are very gentle natured and enjoy a pat as well as the carrot. There is plenty of opportunity to feed them all.
In the same paddock, the group then heads over to the chicken coop for the kids to collect the fresh eggs.

With chickens running free around their feet the kids are very excited to open the door to see how many eggs have been laid.
Each child will have a turn collecting some of the chicken eggs and placing them into farmer Ben’s basket to be sold at the store later.
Then it’s Kevin Bacon, the farms pig’s, time in the spotlight. He will come bounding up the paddock eager for a visit and a scratch.
Produce Store

On the way back to produce store you will pass several fruit groves and learn about the delicious types of fruits and vegetables Wild about Wellbeing farm grows.
This includes a 160 year old chestnut tree, olive grove, citrus fruits, and berries just to name a few.
Their farm grown produce can be found in their store for purchase, and they often have a couple of fruits sliced up for you to sample.
Unlike some other farms, booking the ticket to the tractor ride is essential. This is your entry ticket into the farm and your means of transportation to visit the animals.
Pony Rides

A must do for the kids when visiting the farm is a pony ride.
Head down to the arena where kids aged 4 years and older will get the opportunity to participate in one lap around the arena.
For younger children there is an opportunity to sit on the pony for a pat or photo opportunity.
