Set alongside the Maribyrnong River, the Winter Chalet at Anglers Tavern in Melbourne’s West is the perfect spot to cozy up for a unique family dinner.
Glowing lanterns set the mood while there are plenty and heaters and fluffy blankets to keep you warm.
What better way to kick off the night than with a 2.2L tower of Canadian Club that also comes with two beanies.
The mulled wine is also delicious! If shots are more your thing, you can shoot the “Shot Ski” with four friends.
The “Feed Me” menu is an absolute bargain at $45 per person. The Lamb Shank Pie is a delicious highlight and there was almost a fight between my husband and son over the sticky date pudding. It was that good! There’s a generous selection of kids meals too.
For the kids, the hands down favourite was the massive snow machine. The Anglers Tavern staff was really kind and accommodating.
They made it snow between every course and the kids had an absolute ball!! I was also assured the snow was non-toxic which is good because no matter how many times I told them not to, my kids tried to eat it.
