Flash back to the 1980s for this epic battle of the sexes! With power house voices like Casey Donovan and Caroline O’Connor, this production is not to be missed.
Dolly Parton received both a Tony and Grammy nomination for her original songs.
Even though the Queen of Country doesn’t perform live in the show, the way the staging is done really makes you feel like she’s there.
The show is chocked full of Dolly personality and fun. Everyone in the audience was singing along to her classic song, 9 to 5.
This feel good show is full of very bawdy fun so even though the recommended age is 12+, I would say make this a night out for the grown-ups.
Playing at the State Theatre in the Arts Centre it’s easy to make a whole night of it with plenty of restaurants steps away.
There are snacks and drinks for sale in the Arts Centre too. There’s paid parking or just a quick walk over the bridge from Flinders Street Station via public transport.
