Brush by the Vines
If you are looking for something different and unique from your usual night out, Brush by the Vines will certainly impress.
With food, drinks, and music, you can get your creativity flowing to create your own piece of art to take home.
No painting experience needed, anyone can do it, and there are plenty of different painting sessions to choose from according to your taste.

From plants, people, animals, to your favourite travel destinations and more.

We chose La Dolce Vita as we travel back and forth to Italy quite a lot and Venice is one of our favs!
What to expect at Brush by the Vines – Review
The set up is fantastic, and you will be surprised as you walk in off the street into a funky studio with music playing, and tables set up with canvases and paint trays.

You can bring your own drinks and food along if you want, or you can also purchase your beverages and snacks from the bar as it is a fully licenced venue.
There are also some delicious grazing boards to pre-order for your arrival too. BBTV also cater for all dietary requirements which was a great surprise.
Have a special event? You can make a special booking and hire out the whole venue! Great idea for a girls night out, birthday party, bridal shower, or hens party.

When it is time to be seated, you will find your canvas in front of you with a rough sketch of the painting you are about to create.
The artist will give you step by step instructions from how to mix your paint colours, to different painting techniques to use throughout the session.

Time flies as you sip, graze, paint, and sing along to the music.
The adult sessions usually go for about 3 hours, but sometimes they can go a bit longer, depending on how much you drink and chit chat during the session.
The kids sessions are shorter, around 1-1.5hrs.

It really is a lot of fun, even for those who can’t draw or paint usually, (like me!)
Of course, there are numerous photo opportunities too, and you don’t want to miss capturing your masterpiece as you go along. We were presently surprised at how it turned out, much better than we expected.

Brush by the Vines with Kids
Brush by the Vines also have kids sessions for children 7 years and up, which make a fun school holiday activity. There is a great selection of fun kids paintings to choose from.
Note that kids sessions are a little bit different:
- During the day rather than the evenings
- Shorter sessions 1-1.5hrs
- 15 kids max so more focused on each child.
- There is no bar
- Parents don’t have to stay, you can leave your kids for the session if you like.
If you have a little budding artist, it is definitely a fun and unique kids activity in Melbourne’s north and they will love displaying their artwork proudly at home.
