FROSTED, a Winter Spectacular in Melbourne
Melbourne, get ready to Frost yourselves, celebrating Christmas in July at Frosted a Winter Spectacular, the brand new Winter event that just kicked off in Melbourne!

FROSTED – A Winter Spectacular, Christmas in July Melbourne
We love a good winter family event! Mix that with Christmas in July, and it sounds even better! During the months of June and July, the big field in Narre Warren opposite Westfield Fountain Gate is transformed into a magical sanctuary where all can enjoy the enchantment of a winter Christmas under the Big Top. There are lots of Christmas themed activities for the kids to enjoy!
We went to the last event and the kids had so much festive fun. The event is beautifully decorated with many lights and Christmas trees, including a giant snowperson made out of balloons and a little bit of artificial snow, creating a true winter wonderland atmosphere.

Included in your ticket price is the ball pit, artificial ice skating, Christmas crafts such as decorating reindeer antlers and making snow globes, cookie decorating and a small live show. There are also lots of meet and greets with different characters walking around for photo ops.
To purchase there are some carnival style games and a photo op with the snow queen in her swan sleigh.
There are food and drinks to purchase, including hotdogs, chicken nuggets, chips, soup, jam donuts. As well as drinks such as orange juice, soft drinks, and water. Seating to eat is limited, so finding a spot to sit and enjoy the treats was a challenge but as mums we always find a way.

Frosted Sneak Peek
What to Expect at FROSTED, A Winter Spectacular
- Artificial Ice Skating
Skates are provided as are staff to help you on to your feet, and to stay on them also. The little hold-on penguins are my kids faves to keep them on their feet and moving. Ice Skating is for the more adventurous and patient as only a lucky few pick it up quickly. - Reindeer Cookie Making
We enjoyed decorating cookies into edible reindeer treats. They were yummy to eat, without excess sugar to avoid those emotional (behavioural) roller coasters, so we went back for a second time. The activity is suitable to all ages, including hubby. - Snow Globe Making
This was a favourite activity, for Mums Little Explorers. The kids loved creating their own little winter scenes to take home as a souvenir with water to be added once home. - Large Ball Pit
The large ball pit offered endless entertainment, allowing kids to dive and play in a sea of blue and white balls. Great activity for the young ones, but fun for all kids. We had to persuade our little explorers from the ball pit at closing time. - Jumping Castle
Great for all kids to jump and burn off some energy, always a hit. Hmmmm, our little explorers still had plenty of energy left so lucky there was more to occupy their curious minds. - Reindeer Horn Decorating
Another favourite, with kids getting creative with their designs. Mums Little Explorers particularly enjoyed this crafty activity and as the night progressed a lot of little reindeers were trotting through the complex. - Roaming Characters and Photo Opportunities
There were plenty of photo opportunities with characters, from the big and cuddly favourites to the winter appropriate outfits. - Stage Performances
Stage aacts performed on a small stage with guests standing around. They were great, and it was entertaining, with all wishing the show would go on. This was a highlight for the adult attendees. - Reindeer Exhibition
Our little explorers were able to collect up some magic reindeer dust as they were introduced to some of our favourite reindeers.
