The Wind In the Willows In Melbourne
The must-do family theatre experience, The Wind In the Willows is celebrating 35 years in the Gardens and is a tradition for generations of Victorian children.
Join Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly and Mr Toad as they bring Kenneth Grahame’s immortal story of life on the riverbank to the stage.

Set in the beautiful and scenic botanic gardens in Melbourne on a beautifully green hill overlooking ponds, there is ample shade under trees along with park benches or grass to throw a picnic rug, break out the snacks, settle the kids and enjoy the entertainment as a family.

The performance is full of energy and captures crowd interest from the very beginning. With light crowd interactions, jokes for all, singing, dancing and various instruments and fun characters, it makes the performance fun for both children and parents.

There is a mid-show transition to the castle not far away and the second stage has a new setting to keep the storyline and interest alive.
Children are integrated into the story too which is lots of fun. It is interactive all the way through.

The show is a good length at 90 minutes to keep the kids interested and engaged. It makes a great day out for the whole family.
