1. Kinglake National Park
The Kinglake National Park is home to a variety of native birds and wildlife. It is a great spot for a scenic walk or bike ride, and has some great camping spots for those who want to stay out overnight.
2. Mason Falls
Within the Kinglake National Park one of the main attractions is Mason Falls and the beautiful picnic area which is a large shaded area with barbecues and tables.
From there you take the 700mtre walk through the forest to the lookout point of Mason Falls which is perfect to see after some rain. During the Summer months it can be quite dry and therefore a little disappointing.
For those with young families you take a stroll along the Lyrebird Circuit Walk which is around 500mtrs long. Otherwise for those looking for more of a challenge, there is the Running Creek Walk which is almost 8kms.
3. Bollygum Park
Right in the heart of Kinglake you can find Bollygum Park and Playground which is actually based on a children’s book “Bollygum”. It is a great place to take the kids for a morning or afternoon and have some lunch or dinner. There is a big picnic area with BBQ’s, a huge playground and even a skate park. There are sometimes markets on nearby too.
4. Kinglake Forest Adventures
One of the best things to do in Kinglake with kids is the Kinglake Forest Adventures which provides a day full of adventure for all ages. Climb the treetops, swing along the zipline, or even head out for a mountain bike ride.

For those who love to ride, make sure to check out the Bowden Spur Mountain Bike area where you can have an action packed day of mountain bike riding. There are plenty of trails, tracks, and jumps to get your heart pumping.
6. Kinglake Farmers Markets
