The Winter Night Market is on every Wednesday night during winter and is a great way to spend a night out. You will find live music creating a relaxed vibe and cool atmosphere.
Rug up in your winter woollies and head to the Market to feast on Melbourne’s best street food while sipping on tipples from local brewers and distillers. This year’s line-up features more than 35 food and drink traders including a mix of Winter Night Market favourites, local icons and fresh new faces.
You can try some Filipino, Spanish, Vietnamese and Portuguese flavours offering Seafood dishes, flame skewers, dumpling, American doughnuts to name a few. All prepared and cooked right before your eyes.
The market is quite busy, however queues are manageable.
Build up a hunger first by browsing the stalls offering art, homewares, books or jewellery and get a Henna Tattoo or a portrait by a cartoonist.
Then when it is time to sit back, warm up beside one of the open fire pits, while enjoying a wine, gin or spiced cider and watch the live music or roving entertainers and contemplate which of the many food options have your name on it.
There is something for everyone and suitable for a perfect midweek experience, interstate tourists, families or a date night.
