Phillip Island Go Karts
Phillip Island Go Karts are one of the most popular activities at Phillip Island. If you love the adrenaline and love speed, you will love burning around the corners of the Phillip Island Go Kart track.
The Circuit

The Phillip Island Go Kart track is a replica of the world-renowned Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, which is home to some of the biggest sporting events of the year. The 750m track has smooth curves and a super-fast straight which is situated alongside the circuit overlooking the Bass Strait. Driving around the track you get the most amazing views of the rugged cliffs and the ocean.
The Karts

Single Go Karts: Adults and children 12yrs and above and at least 140cm in height can drive the Single Go Karts.
Tandem Go Karts: Kids need to be 5 years of age with minimum height of 100cm tall. Drivers must be aged 18+ years and at least 140cm tall. The tandem Go Karts go a little slower than the Single Karts.

There are also group sessions where you can reserve the whole track. This is perfect for special events.
Phillip Island Go Karts Review

Time slots can be booked over the phone or on the website.
On arrival to Phillip Island Go Karts you will sign in at the visitors centre where you take your photo and choose your driver name. Then you will wait out in the viewing area until you are called.
When it is your turn there is a safety briefing and safety gear fitting.
Then you are off!

Driving the Go Kart is much like driving a car, although you are very low to the ground. You don’t need to break too much except on the fourth turn with is like a U-turn. Other than that, you can pretty much drive full speed the whole way if you want to.
Drivers are disqualified for dangerous driving. You can’t bump into other karts intentionally or do anything else considered a danger to others.
Once you are finished your lap times are shown on the screen and also sent to you via email so you can keep them.
Grab a coffee in the café afterwards and chat about your experience.
